Bayer Young Environmental Envoy 2011


Bayer, in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), proclaimed the 2011 Bayer Young Environmental Envoys at an award presentation ceremony held on August 18, 2011 at Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City.

Twelve college students from different parts of the country were conferred as Bayer Young Environmental Envoys after successfully implementing their individual environmental projects, following a stringent selection process and nationwide search. 

Of the 12, four were named to represent the country to a weeklong all-expense paid study tour of Germany in October. They are: Cris Raymond Viray of St. Paul University Quezon City, Alfie Desamparado of West Visayas State University, Reymart Canuel of University of Baguio, and Mary Jade Gabanes of West Visayas State University.

Other BYEEs are Michael Angelo Abarcar of University of Southern Philippines, Aura Patricia Azarcon of De La Salle University – Manila, Jerome Jose Fernandez of Universidad De Santa Isabel- Naga City, Ana Mae Lamentillo of the University of the Philippines-Los Banos, Masaki Mitsuhashi of the University of the Philippines-Manila, Mark Mathew Operiano of West Visayas State University, Christian Sorongon of the University of the Philippines-Visayas and Daren Ril Valenzuela of John Lacson Foundation Maritime University.
